As she tells the story of these “frontier diplomats,” Wischmann also challenges conventional wisdom about the character of fur traders, the nature of the Blackfeet, and the role of Indian women.

There is a collection of short stories of some my life experiences, some humorous and some serious. This is also a story some of my life's ups and downs, and some of the transformations that I have experienced in my journey through life.

Each of these is explained and then applied to various counseling situations: pre-marital counseling, marriage counseling, divorce counseling, counseling gay men and women, and grief counseling.
