Brunswick, Maryland, just six miles by towpath from historic Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, is rich in history. The area holds Civil War importance and served as a supply depot for the Union army after the Battle of Antietam.

Through glimpses at yesteryear, author Patricia Barefoot perpetuates a "southern sense of place" as it shines forth in Brunswick: The City by the Sea.

North Brunswick, a large town spread over 12 square miles, has a rich history extending back to the early 1600s, when its only occupants were members of the Lenni-Lenape tribe.

Brunswick explores the people and places of this upstate New York community from 1880 to 1970. Many of the images in this collection have never before been published and are representative of all aspects of life in Brunswick.

Many of the images featured in this collection have been generously contributed by local families and the East Brunswick Museum Corporation.

South Brunswick traces the history of a central Jersey community from its earliest days through the mid-1900s.

Both joined and separated by the Androscoggin River, Brunswick and Topsham were carved from the same land grant in 1715.
