Karel Dujardin (September 27, 1626 [1] – November 20, 1678) was a Dutch Golden Age painter. Although he did a few portraits and a few history paintings of religious subjects, most of his work is small Italianate landscape scenes with animals and peasants, and other genre scenes.

Who taught artist Karel Dujardin (1626-1678) is no longer known: it may have been Nicolaes Berchem or Paulus Potter. Dujardin is famous for his Italianate landscapes, although it is unclear whether he ever visited Italy as a young man. Dujardin certainly travelled to France around 1650.
Karel Dujardin (born Sept. 27, 1622, Amsterdam, Neth.—died before Oct. 9, 1678, Venice [Italy]) was a Dutch Romanist painter and etcher, best known for his spirited representations of Italian peasants and shepherds with their animals. Dujardin was a son of the painter Guilliam Dujardin.
